Emerging Technology

I think that an example of emerging technology would be kindle. I would be able to use this in the classroom by reading to the students or having the students read on their own different history books that the school system wasn't able to get. This would be great because then the students would be able to have more information than what the school had provided for them.

Audiovisual Technologies

An example of a traditional technology would be an overhead projector and an example of an emerging technology would be a CD player.  In a classroom the teacher could use an overhead projector to show students a picture that was copied out of a book. If the picture is in a book that the students don't have access to then it would be helpful. A CD player can be beneficial in a classroom also because if the teacher was doing a gallery walk then music could be played when it is time for groups to switch. Technology is beneficial to students and to teachers.

How I would want my classroom

I would want my classroom to have more digital technologies in it because I feel that it would help me. The more technology that is in the classroom the students are able to learn more. By this I mean that, the more a student is able to work with a computer the better that they are going to be at understanding it and in the end this will benefit that student.
